I love travel! Once I travel somewhere, I can meet many people who have different background, eat delicious food that I can't eat as usual and experience other culture. My dream is traveling around the world by myself.
How are you doing?
Recently, it is cold in San Diego like the beginning of the winter days in Japan.
I guess it was best choice to buy extra blanket lol
And. Today is Thanksgiving Day.
I have no idea about thanks giving before I came America.
but I went to thanksgiving dinner with oral presentation class student.
Then, teacher told us the meaning of thanksgiving.
I am grateful for environment that I have, good health, friend around me and family especially father. He alway understand what I wanna do and permit to do so.
Thank you for environment that I have. I am studying in San Diego, but it is not possible for everyone.
I would appreciated that I was able to go abroad here.
By the way, I am thinking about going travel before I leave.
The place is Mexico and San Francisco.
I'm looking forward to going there. I can't stop being excited!
I participated Boston career forum, which
141 companies comes to get Japanese and English bilingual student such as
global company.
This is the Boston Convention center that
is located in near south station.
This is night view of Boston!
In 12th, we went to sports bar
which front staff in hotel had recommended to us. Its name is “four’s”, which
is completely sports bar.
At that time, hockey and football game have being
played! Every one cheered wildly when the home team scored a goal. We really
enjoyed such atmosphere. All dishes we ordered were really tasty and every
staffs are really kind!
I ordered steak fries with blue cheese
walnuts.
I stayed Hyatt that is located in near Logan
airport.
This is a harbor side view from 9th
floor in night.
I also took picture
from there in the morning.
It looks quite different : )
Room is comfortable and the boy who carries
my bag is nice guy.
He kindly teaches me the information about
good sightseeing spot around hotel.
I bought 7days pass by his recommendation.
It is convenient to go out anywhere.
You can ride all Subway and Bus for $14 per
one week.
How was your weekend?
I could have an interesting experience in this weekend.
I did a volunteer as a assistant in Japanese kindergarden on sunday.
A lot of Japanese American children go to this school. Some of them can`t speak Japanese yet , but other classmate who can speak Japanese help them to learn Japanese.
When theater said them to write balls using aka crayon (We call red "aka"), child who know Japanese teach child who can`t speak Japanese that aka means red. I was impressed. How young child can help each other!
anyway, in this season, a lot of senior student start job hunting in Japan. Big career forum be held in USA (LA, Boston) for the people who can speak English and Japanese. After I go back Japan, I have to start job hunting. I was thinking long time if I went to Boston or not. It is too far away from here and expensive to get air plane ticket and reserve hotel, but I finally decide to go to Boston career forum.
I will be busy soon for preparing resumé. hmm...
Then I can update Boston trip (kind of) blog and pictures next month. I`m looking forward to going there without cold whether. What I know about boston is just MIT and Harvard. And I would like to try clam chowder. Have you ever been to Boston?
I use i-phone and macbook. It is made simply and comfortable to use.
I really enjoy to use it. Even though I travel somewhere, I bring i-phone and take photo in front of the sightseeing spot more than digital camera.
It is 1 week since steve died. A great number of the people around the world tweet his death and thanked him with putting hush tag like #thankyousteve, #iSad and so on. Tweet about his death became the third most tweet so far. One engineer made picture of steve by using tweet with hush tag #thankyou steve.
I can't believe his death still now, because I respect him so much not only job he did but also a way of life. His speech in Stanford University touched my heart. He talked about three things: connecting dots, love and lost, and death. I have three favorite sentence each part.
you can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something — your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.
This sentence is in first part "connecting dots" in his speech. When he was 17 years old, he dropped out college and take calligraphy class. He didn't think calligraphy is helpful for his life. However, 10 years later, it all came back to him. It was designed into the first Macintosh.
You’ve got to find what you love. And that is as true for your work as it is for your lovers. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle.
This is in second part "love and lost" in his speech. After he fired from his company, he started a company NeXT(Pixar). Pixar created the first computer animation movie"Toy Story" He fell in love with woman who became his wife. After that apple bought the Pixar and he returned his position. It was awful medicine for him, but these amazing things would not happened if he hadn't been fired.
Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.
This is the most favorite sentence in the third part"death" in his speech. He had faced death once before he died, but he could be saved miraculously. He also thought Death is very likely the single best invention of Life. It is life`s change agent.
If you have never watched his speech, please check it out!

for steve
I am truly sorry to hear about a loss of steve jobs and would like to express my heartfelt sympathy.
I was really surprised when I saw the tweet that my friend re-tweet about steve dies.
Even though I saw the top page of the apple, I can`t believe about it.
I really impressed his speech in stanford and respect him. I wrote his word on the paper and put on the wall in my house.
His great job make our life convenient and creative. I use mac and i-phone everyday. I will use this device as long as possible.
Please accept my deepest sympathy and condolences. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family(steve) at this difficult time.
